The Village Dancers cross stitch folk embroidery kit is inspired by a piece of Cretan weaving shared with me by a friend, which I've adapted into cross stitch. A row of happy folk dancers is set within classic folk embroidery borders in a bright palette of navy, coral, garnet, yellow, and green, finished as a charming mini wall hanging on a beechwood tapestry rod. This style of wall hanging is common in Greece and a beautiful alternative to the displaying in an embroidery hoop. It's a joyful little piece with a lot of energy — I can almost hear the music!
